What does the school do? 

• By default, we control the web filtering of your child's device while it is at school and at home. By default social media, gaming & streaming services are blocked. If you want the school to continue to filter the device but open up these categories for you, you can request a filtering exemption by filling out the form found here

• Alternatively, you can opt into a trial that allows for full control of home filtering and reports via the qustodio app. This requires some manual setup so if you would like to participate please do the following:

  • Create a qustodio account using this unique link: https://auth.qustodio.com/en/my-school (using the same email address that you use to sign into Compass)

  • Alternatively if you already have a qustodio account, please sign into the link just above to link your child (this is a required step). (The qustodio account must be the same email as the one you sign into Compass with)

Note - The above steps must be completed prior to contacting the school as the linking process requires a code to be sent to your email account.

• • Now change the password to your qustodio account to something else and provide it to the school by lodging a request via helpdesk@shirechristian.nsw.edu.au and asking for the qustodio software to be installed.

  • We will then install the qustodio app on your child's device and connect it to your qustodio account. This requires a school administrative password at the same time the qustodio account is connected which is why we ask for the qustodio temporary password so we can do these two steps together.

  • You can then change the password back to your usual password once the device comes home. You will then have the ability to control filtering of school devices outside of school hours
